Are We Hearing God's Whisper Amidst the Chaos?

Circumstances can help us know the plans God has for us and guide us in His pathway of peace! At other times they can overwhelm us with disillusionment; causing our souls to slide into the pit of hopelessness and despair. As a result, we miss out on what God deeply desires to do in and through us which will not only affect our lives but can affect even nations!

The purpose of this blog is to encourage us to keep seeking the LORD GOD, to continue hearing and doing what He is saying in order for His glorious will to be done through us no matter what the circumstances maybe.

In I Kings 19 we find the story of Elijah running from Jezebel after he received a death threat from her. One can jump to quick conclusions regarding his actions but we would be wise in reflecting on a whole series of events just prior to Jezebel's threat.

Fatigue, disillusionment, unsuspecting, fear as well as other factors we don't know could have all been influential, causing him to do what he did. He felt it was all over! Ministry was finished, he was as good as dead.

Nonetheless, the LORD was gracious and helped him out of his depression. He spoke to him in a quiet whisper, an indication of His intimacy with Elijah. His life was not over, God still had much for him to do! The end of the story? Queen Jezebel was eaten by dogs, king Ahab was killed in a battle and Elijah was taken up to heaven in a whirlwind!

What about us? Keep seeking God, listen for His quiet voice in the midst of chaos, He still loves us and it is not over until HE calls us HOME!!!
